China opposes deployment plan of THAAD system [US Anti-missile shield] | Wang Yi Chinese FM 09.07.16

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi has reiterated China's opposition to the deployment of the Terminal High Altitude Air Defense or THAAD system in South Korea. He said its use will destabilize the balance on the Korean Peninsula. He urged South Korea to re-think whether the THAAD system is conducive to peace and stability in the region.
